Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where Does the dog stay at night?

Each of our guests enjoys privacy in modern, uniquely designed suites where they eat their meals and rest stress-free. We do not use traditional chain link pens. Each suite is fully enclosed with solid private walls constructed of cozy vinyl to ensure a proper undisturbed rest. Multiple guests from the same household are welcome to sleep together in the same suite. Meals are always supervised when sharing a suite amongst family members to ensure proper rations and to make sure that medications are consumed.Back to Top

2. What do the dogs do during the day?

Our guests enjoy playing outside throughout the day in plenty of spacious runs. They are able to socialize with appropriate matches to their temperament in small playgroups. Our guests get in shape and are plenty tired at the end of the day from exercise. In appropriate weather, guests who are trusted off-leash and who enjoy skinny-dipping can go for swims as our facilities are surrounded by water.

3. How many dogs do you care for?

We are not a large commercial kennel. Our exclusive facility is small and private and is only able to accommodate up to 20 suites at peak times. Off-season we care for only a handful of guests, which allows for even more individual care. As we are very limited, it is especially important to reserve early.

4. Do you have any restrictions on dogs you care for?

A formal evaluation is required prior to us agreeing to care for dogs during busy times as well as for stays longer than three days to ensure they are a fit with our facility for the safety of all dogs and staff. We want to get to know your dog and for your dog to be confident and happy with us as we provide hands on care. We are not able to accommodate dogs with restrictions at all times. Restrictions may be placed on guests at any time for various reasons including temperament changes, health, age, or if they are sexually intact. Dogs with serious aggression issues are not welcome.

5. What are your hours?

Check-in and Check-out hours are between 9:00 am - 10:00 am & 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm. We are CLOSED WEDNESDAYS and HOLIDAYS (to human customers only, of course) but we are still busy caring for the dogs. You must book an appointment with your reservation to check-in and check-out your dog within our morning or evening hours. If you wish to change the time you agreed to, you must call for approval in advance. Thank you for respecting our schedule. Minimizing interruptions aids in creating a stress free environment for all dogs in our care.

6. What are your rates?

Our Bed and Biscuit rates are $35 per guest per calendar date and $30 for second family member sharing the same suite. Per calendar date eliminates confusion as you are not charged at all dependant on which time of day you choose for your dog to check in or out. We suggest you maximize their fun by bringing them in the morning if at all possible so they have all day to play.

7. Do you charge extra for administering medications?

Administering medications, treats and love are no extra charge

8. Where are you located?

About 15 minutes east of Calgary. You can find an easy map here. Please print it out and bring it with you so you don’t get lost.

9. Do you offer TAXI service?

Many of our guests enjoy the added benefit of our TAXI service and often make travel plans to match. It is a great timesaver for busy families. TAXI service is limited to safe vehicle space for a $20 fee and up, to help transport guests. Just check with us and we will make the arrangement if possible.

10. How early do I have to make a reservation?

We suggest you reserve well in advance to avoid disappointing your dog. We allow reservations for Christmas and New Year beginning January 5th and may begin to fill shortly after. Spring Break, summer, Thanksgiving and all other holidays often fill several months in advance.
